Annie Lizzie Elbert

Annie Lizzie Elbert, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully at her home on June 9, 2026, at the age of 80. Born on July 24, 1945, in Wrightsville, Georgia, Annie was the cherished daughter of Jimmy Lee and Rebecca Bell. She is now reunited with her siblings who predeceased her: Arnita Roth, Bonnell Bell, Jessie Bell, Thomas Bell, and Jimmie Bell.
Annie's legacy continues through her loving children: Robin Brown, Robert Elbert and his wife Marie, Darryl Elbert, Cynthia Elbert, Keith Elbert and his wife Claudia, and Christopher Elbert. Her spirit also lives on in her 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life. She is also survived by her devoted sisters, Viola Williams, Alice King, and Fellie Shaw and her husband Richard.
In 1965, Annie married the late Robby Elbert, with whom she shared a life filled with love, laughter, and family. Together, they created a warm and welcoming home, where Annie's talents for cooking, knitting, crocheting, and gardening flourished. Her home was always adorned with beautiful decorations, and she never missed an opportunity to enjoy shopping with her loved ones or challenge her mind with Sudoku puzzles.
Annie was a dedicated member of Elizabeth Baptist Church, where she found joy in serving as a greeter, welcoming all with her warm smile and kind heart. Her faith was a guiding force throughout her life, offering comfort and strength to those around her.
Known for her vibrant spirit and zest for life, Annie enjoyed staying active. Whether taking long walks or attending her invigorating bootcamp classes, she inspired others with her energy and enthusiasm for life.
A service to honor Annie's life will be held on June 19, 2026, at 12:30 PM at Dortch-Williamson, located at 1410 Highway 138 SW, Riverdale, GA 30296. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Dortch-Williamson for their compassionate care and support.
Annie Lizzie Elbert will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her legacy of love, kindness, and resilience will continue to inspire and comfort her family and friends. As we gather to celebrate her life, we remember the joy she brought into the world and the indelible mark she left on our hearts.
