In Loving Memory

Annie Lee Clark
December 1, 1939 — June 20, 2026
It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of our beloved Annie Lee Clark, who slipped peacefully from this world on June 20, 2026, at the Casa of Hobart. Born on December 1, 1939, in the nurturing arms of Indianola, Mississippi, Annie's journey of 86 years was one marked by love, resilience, and unyielding joy.
Annie was the cherished daughter of Caroline Boddie and Clarence Clark, and though her parents have departed this earthly realm, their legacy of strength and kindness lived vibrantly through her. She was predeceased by her siblings, Helen Roston, Barbara Frazier, Willie Roston, Lawrence Roston, and Walter Roston, whose memories she carried with grace and fondness.
Surviving Annie is her devoted daughter, Karen (Walter) McCollough, who was the apple of her eye and a constant source of pride. Annie's love extended to her grandchildren, Keeana McCollough, Logan (Mya) McCollough, Cameron McCollough, and Louis Griggs, who were her joy and delight. Her legacy continues with her great-grandchildren, Isaiah and Cassius, who will grow up with tales of their great-grandmother's laughter and love.
Annie is also survived by her siblings, Roosevelt Clark, Gladys Williams, Sandra Roston, Larry Roston, and Donald Roston, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who were touched by her warmth and generosity.
Her life was enriched by the love she shared with the late Nance (Mickey) Williams and the late Jesse Brooks, whose memories she held dear.
Annie's journey in education brought her to complete the 11th grade, and with determination, she pursued dietary training, ultimately becoming a Dietary Aide—a career she held with pride until her retirement. Her compassionate nature led her to work part-time as a home health aide and caregiver, where she offered solace and care to those in need.
A woman of steadfast faith, Annie accepted the Lord at a young age, grounding her life in love and service. She found joy in gathering with friends and family at the Early Inn, her laughter a melody that could lift any spirit. Annie loved to travel, always seeking new horizons and adventures.
Her presence was as vibrant as it was comforting; known for her boisterous laughter and quick wit, Annie was truly the life of any party. Her teasing was a gentle art, always delivered with love and leaving you laughing at yourself, a testament to her gift of bringing joy to others.
Annie's life will be celebrated on June 27, 2026, at 14:00, at Smith Bizzell and Warner. We invite all who knew her to join us in honoring her memory, sharing stories, and embracing the love she leaves behind.
The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude for the outpouring of love and support during this time. Annie Lee Clark will forever remain in our hearts, a guiding light and a cherished soul.
