With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Annie Horton, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, who left us unexpectedly on June 2, 2026, while doing what she loved. Annie was born on January 23, 1966, in the charming town of Mounted, Texas, to Elijah and Deltois Brydson, who predeceased her. Her kind spirit and contagious joy enriched the lives of many throughout her 60 years. Annie's life was a testament to love and dedication. She leaves behind her devoted husband, Ernest, with whom she shared 38 years of unwavering companionship and devotion. Together, they built a life filled with laughter, love, and countless cherished memories. Annie’s legacy continues through her three children, who carry forward her warmth and compassion, and her three adored grandchildren, who brought immense joy to her days. Annie had an extraordinary ability to touch the hearts of everyone she met. Her laughter was infectious, and her kindness knew no bounds. She was a beacon of light in her community, always ready with a comforting word or a helping hand. Annie’s love for life was evident in everything she did, and her passion extended beyond her family to the numerous lives she impacted through her work and friendships. The loss of Annie is deeply felt by all who knew her, yet we find solace in the wonderful memories and the legacy of love she leaves behind. Her spirit lives on in the hearts of her family and friends, and in the many lives she touched with her generous and gentle nature. A celebration of Annie’s life will be held at a date to be announced, where friends and family will gather to honor the remarkable woman she was. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her memory to a charity close to her heart, reflecting her lifelong commitment to kindness and service. As we say goodbye to Annie, we hold close the love she shared and the lessons she taught us: to live fully, love deeply, and cherish every moment. Rest in peace, dear Annie. You will forever be missed, but your spirit will live on in the countless hearts you have touched.
