It is with profound sadness and gentle reflection that we announce the passing of Annette Thomas, a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who departed this world peacefully on June 23, 2026, just shy of her 65th birthday. Annette graced this world with her vibrant spirit on July 24, 1961, born to the late Hattie Bell Acree and Rural Thomas, whose love and guidance shaped her into the remarkable woman she became. Annette's life was a testament to resilience, compassion, and unyielding love for her family. As a devoted mother, she instilled in her children—Lakeyshia Thomas, Corneilus Williams, Sierra Williams, and Montick Thomas—the values of kindness, perseverance, and the importance of family bonds. Her nurturing spirit and wisdom were gifts she shared freely, and her legacy continues through her beloved grandchildren: Elisha, Taylor, Madison, CJ, TJ, and Emerald. Each of them carries a piece of her heart, a testament to the profound impact she had on their lives. Annette's journey in life was enriched by the enduring bonds with her sisters, Brenda (Terrell) Brown, Hattie Gatrell, and Teresa (Tracey) Johnson. Together, they shared countless memories, laughter, and an unbreakable sisterhood. Her nieces—Felisha (James) Randolph, Tatiana Stephens, Tamikka Stephens, and Drenika Davis—also held a special place in her heart, each one touched by her generous spirit and unwavering support. In addition to her family, Annette was blessed with the companionship of her special friend, Brenda Fuller. Their friendship was a source of joy and comfort, a reminder that true friendship is a gift to be cherished. Annette's life was one of quiet dignity and profound influence. Her presence was a beacon of light, offering warmth and love to all who knew her. She faced life's challenges with grace and an indomitable spirit, inspiring those around her to do the same. Her laughter, her wisdom, and her gentle way of making everyone feel valued will be deeply missed. In keeping with Annette's final wishes, she will be cremated and her ashes spread at sea, a serene and fitting tribute to a woman whose spirit was as boundless as the ocean's horizon. Her family finds solace in knowing she will forever remain a part of the earth's eternal beauty. To honor Annette's life, her family extends a special message: "Though our hearts are heavy with loss, we find comfort in the memories we shared and the love she gave so freely. Her spirit will continue to guide us, and her love will forever be our anchor." Annette Thomas will be forever remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those she touched, and her spirit will forever inspire us to live with love and grace.
