March 21, 1959 — August 30, 2026

Annette Thomas Baker, a beacon of love and resilience, passed away peacefully in her sleep on August 30, 2026, at her home after triumphantly overcoming a battle with breast cancer. Born on March 21, 1959, in Lagrange, Georgia, Annette lived a life full of warmth, laughter, and dedication to her family and community. Annette was the cherished daughter of Lillian Clark Hill and was surrounded by a loving family throughout her life. She shared a beautiful marriage with her devoted husband, Jeffrey Baker, whom she wed on February 11, 1995, in Marietta, Georgia. Together, they created a nurturing home filled with love and joy for over 20 years. A dedicated and loving mother, Annette leaves behind her children: Lateisha Brown, Roderick Thomas, Michael Snow, and Latoya Snow. Her legacy of kindness and warmth continues through her nine precious grandchildren: Malachi Snow, Christian Snow, Lillian Thomas, Peyton Snow, Logan Thomas, Piper Snow, Alexandria Brown, Tristan Snow, and Kameron Snow, each of whom brought her immense pride and happiness. Annette’s life was enriched by her close-knit family, including her siblings Willie Thomas, Jessie Mae Hixon, Marshall Thomas, Martha Johnson, and George Hill, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and loyal friends and co-workers who were so dear to her heart. Professionally, Annette served her community for many years as a bus driver with Paulding County Transportation. She was known for her spirited tales about the children on her bus, and cherished her friendships with colleagues. Her quick wit and warm smile brought joy to those around her, and she had an exceptional ability to make everyone feel welcome and valued. Beyond her professional life, Annette found joy in travel. Her favorite destination was the beach, where she found peace and contentment, and she seized every opportunity to visit the shore. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Annette's life at a service to be held on September 5, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home and Memorial Park, located at 2950 Cobb Parkway NW, Kennesaw, Georgia.
