It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Annette R. Pate, a beloved mother, sister, aunt, and friend. Annette passed away peacefully on December 9, 2025, after a courageous battle with leukemia, surrounded by the love of her family and close friends. She was 76 years old. Annette was born on July 16, 1949, in Werdohl-Eveking, Germany, to Joseph and Irmgard (Anne) Lambert. From her earliest days, Annette was a beacon of joy and warmth, embodying a spirit that would touch the hearts of all who knew her. Her childhood in Germany was filled with fond memories and the nurturing love of her family, setting the foundation for the compassionate and generous woman she would become. Annette was predeceased by her beloved husband, George W. Pate, whose love and partnership she cherished deeply throughout their years together. She was also predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Irmgard Lambert, and her dear sister, Patricia Lee Lambert. Their memories lived on in Annette's heart, and she spoke of them often with fondness and gratitude for their lasting impact on her life. Survived by her loving daughter, Trisha R. Pate, Annette's legacy of kindness and strength continues through her child, who was her pride and joy. Annette is also survived by her devoted sister, Leane L. DeFrancis, and her husband, Tony, her caring brother, Mike Lambert, and his wife, Lynn. Her niece, Bond Cavazos, husband Aaron, and nephew, Michael Lambert, wife Carissa, held a special place in her heart, as did her great-niece, Collette, and great-nephew, Costa, who brought her endless happiness and laughter. Annette was blessed with friendships that enriched her life in countless ways. Her best friends, Thor and Gertie Smiley, were her chosen family, providing unwavering support and companionship throughout her life’s journey. A passionate gardener, Annette found solace and joy in nurturing her plants and flowers. Her garden was a reflection of her soul—vibrant, welcoming, and full of life. She also possessed a remarkable talent for knitting and crochet, creating beautiful pieces that were cherished by all who received them as gifts of love. Annette's life was a testament to the power of love, resilience, and generosity. Her legacy will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing her. Though her presence will be deeply missed, her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends. A celebration of Annette's life will be held at a later date to honor her memory and the indelible mark she left on this world. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a leukemia research foundation of your choice, in hopes of finding a cure for this devastating illness. As we bid farewell to Annette, we celebrate a life well-lived and a woman who truly made the world a better place. May she rest in eternal peace, united with those she loved who passed before her, and may her memory be a blessing to all who knew her.
