It is with profound sadness and deep respect that we announce the passing of Anne Tustin Gewant, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and cherished friend. Anne passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family, on May 6, 2026, at the age of 84. Born on August 9, 1941, in the charming town of Manayunk, Pennsylvania, Anne was the beloved daughter of Elwood Raymond Tustin and Anne Marie Tustin. Her life was a testament to love, dedication, and the nurturing spirit that defined her every day. Anne graduated from Cape May County Vo-Tech and went on to earn her Bachelor’s Degree, ultimately fulfilling her calling as a compassionate and devoted nurse. Her career was defined by her unwavering commitment to her patients, and she was revered not only for her professional skills but also for the empathy and warmth she brought to her work. Anne’s caring nature extended beyond her profession to her role as a mother, where she provided a foundation of love and support for her children. She is predeceased by her dear children, Jamie Shannon and Melissa Trout-Baron, whose memories she cherished deeply. Anne is survived by her children Jocealynn and Jonathann Shannon, and Lynda Frazier, who have been a source of immense pride and joy. Her legacy of love continues through her eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren who will forever hold her spirit in their hearts. Anne found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life. She was an avid gardener, finding solace and beauty in the plants she nurtured with care. Her love for animals, especially her dogs, was a testament to her generous heart. Anne’s humor and quick wit were legendary, and she had an unparalleled gift for making those around her feel welcome and valued. Her warm smile and infectious laugh could brighten even the darkest of days. Beyond her family and career, Anne was a woman of diverse interests. She cherished her time spent watching drama and comedy shows on her tablet, finding laughter and joy in each episode. Her ability to find humor in everyday life was one of her most endearing qualities. In honoring her life, we remember Anne not only for her professional accomplishments but for the kindness and generosity that touched countless lives. Her memory will forever remain a guiding light for her family and friends. Anne’s family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Fueller Metz Funeral Home for their compassionate care and support during this difficult time. Your kindness has been a great comfort to us all. A celebration of Anne’s life will be held at a later date, where friends and family will gather to remember her incredible journey. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Anne’s memory to a local animal shelter, reflecting her lifelong love and care for animals. Rest in peace, dear Anne. Your legacy of love, kindness, and humor will continue to inspire and guide us all.
