It is with heavy hearts and profound love that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend, Anne Mae Merriweather. She departed from this world peacefully on May 28, 2026, in the comfort of her home, surrounded by the love of her family. Her journey began on March 15, 1951, in the charming town of Starkville, Mississippi, born to James Earl Merriweather and Cora Lee Holmes. Anne Mae was a beacon of love and warmth, known for her unwavering devotion to her family and friends. She embraced life with a gentle spirit and a compassionate heart, always ready to lend a listening ear or offer a comforting hug. Her laughter was infectious, and her kindness knew no bounds. Preceded in death by her cherished parents, James Earl and Cora Lee, and her dear brother Julian, Anne Mae’s legacy continues through her loving family. She leaves behind her devoted sons, Nicholas Eric Merriweather and Kevin Lamar Merriweather, who were her pride and joy. Her memory will forever be cherished by her brother, Samuel Williams, and the many lives she touched, including her four precious granddaughters and seven great-grandchildren. Anne Mae's extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends will remember her as a guiding light and a source of unwavering support. Anne Mae's nurturing spirit extended beyond her family; she was a cornerstone of her community and a faithful servant of her church. Her dedication to service and her unwavering faith inspired everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Her home was a sanctuary for all, a place where love was abundant, and laughter was endless. A celebration of Anne Mae's beautiful life will be held on June 6, 2026, at True Prophetic Ministries, located at 843 West Raines Road. As we bid farewell to our beloved Anne Mae, we find solace in the memories she leaves behind and the love she shared with each of us. Her legacy of kindness, strength, and resilience will continue to inspire us all in the days to come. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Anne Mae’s memory to a charitable organization of your choice.
