Anna Lorelei James Rossi May 18, 1938 – March 2, 2026 With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Anna Lorelei James Rossi, a woman of profound grace and warmth, who left this world peacefully at her home in Italy on March 2, 2026, following a brief illness. Born on May 18, 1938, in the vibrant city of Los Angeles, California, Anna touched countless lives with her kindness and unwavering love. The daughter of Clifford and Inez Roberts James, Anna was raised in a nurturing environment that fostered her deep appreciation for art and culture. She was preceded in death by her cherished brother Raymond, her dear sisters Esther and Alice, and her beloved sister-in-law Federica. Anna's life was a testament to love and dedication. She shared 40 beautiful years of marriage with her devoted husband, Massimo, whom she met while pursuing her degree in music history at UCLA. Their shared passion for music and culture led them to settle in Milan, Italy, where they built a life filled with warmth and family. Together, they raised two wonderful children, Paul (married to Alice) and Elena (married to Steve), who, along with their own families, carry forward Anna's legacy of love. A grandmother to eight and a great-grandmother to fifteen, Anna's greatest joy was her family. Her home was a sanctuary of laughter and love, filled with the echoes of her children's and grandchildren's footsteps and the comforting hum of her cherished collection of vinyl records. Anna was a woman of quiet strength and gentle spirit, beloved by all who knew her. Her beaming smile and words of encouragement were a source of comfort and inspiration to many. She had an extraordinary talent for crochet and needlepoint, creating beautiful pieces that were treasured by her family and friends. Her passion for collecting vinyl records was not just a hobby but a testament to her lifelong love affair with music. In accordance with her wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Milano Per La Scala, an organization that reflects Anna's enduring love for the arts. Contributions can be made at milanoperlascala.it. Anna Lorelei James Rossi will be profoundly missed but never forgotten. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of her family and friends, and in the music that filled her life with joy. May she rest in peace, cradled in the arms of her loved ones who have gone before her.
