Ann Zimmerle

Ann Zimmerle, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on September 13, 2026, at the age of 89. Born on July 14, 1937, in San Antonio, Texas, Ann was the cherished daughter of Rita Garcia and Teodoso Rodriguez. She carried the warmth and spirit of her birthplace throughout her life, touching the hearts of everyone she met. Ann's career spanned over four decades, during which she became a renowned Lighting Consultant and Interior Designer at Lighting Inc. in San Antonio. Her dedication and passion for her work were evident to all who had the pleasure of collaborating with her. Ann's expertise and creativity left an indelible mark on countless homes and spaces, illuminating them with her talent and vision. Beyond her professional accomplishments, Ann was a vibrant and energetic soul. She was an excellent seamstress, a dedicated volleyball and baseball coach, and a lover of music and dance. Her zest for life was infectious, and she found joy in every moment, whether it was dancing with friends, reuniting with classmates, or running her cherished Gift Shop. Ann's legacy is carried on by her loving family, who were blessed to have her presence for 89 wonderful years. She leaves behind her children, Henry Zimmerle Jr., Louis (Erica) Zimmerle, Gladys Zimmerle, and David Zimmerle, who will forever hold her close in their hearts. Her twelve grandchildren—Brandon, Joey, Sydney (Kevin) Griffin, Jordan, Haley, William (Priscilla), Armando (Kim), Estevan, Melissa, David Jr., Mike, and Yeseñia Picazo—will always remember her warmth and love. Ann also leaves behind ten great-grandchildren—Myla, Mason, Isiah, Noah, Emma, Zoe, Stella, Valerie, Alysa, and Venessa—who will carry forward her legacy of kindness and joy. Ann's family invites all who knew her to join them in celebrating her life on September 17, 2026, at 4:00 PM at St. Paul’s Church, located at 335 SW 41st St. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests donations to a charity of your choice, honoring Ann's spirit of generosity and love. Ann Zimmerle’s vibrant spirit, compassionate heart, and unwavering love will forever be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will live on in our hearts and memories, a guiding light for those she leaves behind.
