Ann Noel Wagner

Ann Noel Wagner, affectionately known as a beacon of warmth and joy, peacefully went home to be with her Lord and Savior on September 6, 2026. Born on November 3, 1937, in the charming town of Cadiz, Kentucky, Ann's life was a testament to the power of love, resilience, and unwavering faith. She was the cherished daughter of Hazel E. and Susie (Osburn) Noel, who preceded her in passing. Ann was also reunited in heaven with her siblings Hodge Noel, H.E. “Buddy” Noel, Jr., Martha Hazel Noel, and Mary Noel Cross. Her beloved husbands, John H. “Happy” Allen and Don Wagner, also predeceased her. A proud graduate of Trigg County High School in 1956, Ann's strong work ethic and vibrant personality led her to a fulfilling career in the hospitality industry. She spent years as a dedicated waitress and restaurant cook, sharing her culinary talents at the old Dixie Cafe in Hopkinsville. Her passion for service extended beyond the dining room, as she also found joy in cleaning houses and making homes shine. Ann was a steadfast member of Canton Baptist Church, where she poured her heart into service. Whether nurturing little ones in the nursery, lending a helping hand in the kitchen, or lifting her voice in the choir, Ann's faith was a guiding light throughout her life. Although she hadn't been able to attend in person in recent years, she remained spiritually connected by listening to sermons on tape and keeping up with church news. Her love for cooking was matched only by her delight in exploring yard sales and thrift shops, always on the lookout for hidden treasures. Ann's friendly and outgoing nature made her a joy to be around, and her infectious sense of humor brightened the lives of everyone she met. She had a gift for conversation and cherished the moments spent talking and visiting with family and friends. Ann's legacy lives on through her loving family. She is survived by her sons, Mike Williams (Renee) and John Allen (Angela); daughter, Danita Sumner (Chris); and stepdaughter, Judy Williams (Gary). Her memory will also be cherished by her stepdaughter, Joy Champion (Lindsey), and granddaughter, Emily Champion. Her grandchildren, Chris Williams, Jamie Stewart, Jodi Mendez, Landon Sumner, Sam Whetstone, Will Whetstone, and Teresa Jones, as well as her great-grandchildren, Emma, Caleb, Shepherd, Logan, London, Kunal, Payal, CJ, Ryder, Brent, and Alyssa, will carry forward the love she lavished upon them. Ann is also survived by her dear sister, Virginia Brooks (James), and her brother-in-law, Frank Cross, who will miss her dearly. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of one's choice, in honor of Ann's generous spirit and her lifelong commitment to giving back. Ann Noel Wagner's life was a beautiful tapestry of faith, family, and friendship. Her memory will forever be treasured in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. May she rest in eternal peace.
