Ann E. Reincke

July 15, 1940 — March 15, 2026

It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Ann E. Reincke, who peacefully departed this world on March 15, 2026, at the age of 85, surrounded by love in the comforting embrace of her daughter’s home. Born on July 15, 1940, in Keswick, Michigan, Ann graced this world with her presence and left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her. Ann was the cherished daughter of Howard Reincke and Celia Hinshaw Reincke, who instilled in her the values of honesty, kindness, and altruism. These qualities would shape her life and become the foundation upon which she built a legacy of love and service. She grew up in a loving family, preceded in death by her sister Lorraine Weigand, brother Wesley Reincke, sister Orpha Drone, sister Ione Shugart, and nephews Lynn Weigand and Victor Drone. A graduate of Suttons Bay High School in 1957, Ann pursued further education at Northwestern Michigan College in Traverse City, MI, where she enrolled in the medical secretary program. Her academic journey continued at Asbury College in Wilmore, KY, where she cultivated a passion for helping others. Ann’s career was a testament to her dedication and compassion. She began working at the Grand Traverse Ophthalmology Clinic as a receptionist and medical assistant for Dr. John G. Beall and Dr. Jack E. Weih. Her journey of service continued at the Redbird Mission in Beverly, KY, and later at Munson Medical Center, where she served as a nursing department secretary before rising to the role of secretary/office manager to Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Dr. Charles J. Danek, MD. Ann retired as the esteemed office manager of Faith Reformed Church, where she left an enduring impact through her leadership and unwavering faith. A devoted member of Keswick United Methodist Church, Christ United Methodist Church, and Faith Reformed Church, Ann lived her faith through teaching Sunday School and Bible studies, nurturing the spiritual growth of others with her characteristic warmth and generosity. Ann found joy in life’s simple pleasures—sewing, baking, gifting cookies, reading, walking, and solving crossword puzzles. Her hospitality was legendary, her door always open to friends and family, offering a comforting presence and homemade treats that warmed both heart and soul. Her spirit lives on in her beloved daughter, Karen, who carries forward her mother’s legacy of love and kindness. In honor of Ann’s life and in lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to Faith Reformed Church, reflecting Ann’s enduring commitment to her faith community. Contributions can be made at https://frctc.org/online-giving/. A private funeral ceremony will be held to celebrate Ann’s extraordinary life—a life marked by selfless love, unwavering faith, and boundless compassion. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Munson Medical Center, Ascension St. Vincent's Hospital, Mayo Clinic, Community Hospice, and Haven Hospice for their exceptional care and support during Ann’s illnesses and final days. Though Ann has departed from this world, her spirit will forever illuminate the hearts of those she touched. Her life was a testament to the beauty of a heart that loved deeply and a life lived in service to others. She will be profoundly missed but never forgotten.
