Anita Louise Bailey Reichert, born on December 8, 1948, in Atlanta, Georgia, passed away peacefully on October 28, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Anita was the cherished daughter of Marion and Virginia Bailey, and she carried forward their legacy of warmth and kindness throughout her life. Anita's journey was marked by a deep love and a profound connection with her husband, Thomas Michael Reichert Sr. whom she married on April 2, 1966. Together, they shared 60 wonderful years of marriage, a testament to their enduring love and partnership. A devoted mother, Anita is survived by her children, Dawn & Nick Dekranes, Mike & Vanessa Reichert, and Carol & Dwayne Lane. Her nurturing spirit and boundless love extended to her grandchildren, Curt & Shanna Tucker, Brianna & Jacob Roberson, Dallas & Sydney Crumbley, and Courtney & Alex Guzman, and she delighted in her great-grandchildren, J.R., Waylon, Magnolia, Carter, Averie, and Carson. Each of them held a special place in her heart and were the source of immense joy and pride. Anita was predeceased by her siblings Lynn Bailey Gaddy, Peggy Bailey Jerald, and Tommy "TNT" Bailey. She is survived by her brother David Bailey, sisters-in-law Margie Moss, Gail Bradley, Barbare Bridges and a large, loving extended family of cousins, nieces, and nephews. Professionally, Anita dedicated over 20 years to the hospitality industry as a front desk clerk. Her infectious optimism and the gift of gab, inherited from her mother, made her a beloved figure to colleagues and guests alike. She had an extraordinary ability to connect with people, never meeting a stranger, and making everyone feel like family. Anita's passion for life was evident in her hobbies and interests. She loved talking over the fence to her neighbors, art, decorating, and entertaining. Above all, she found immense pleasure in playing with and entertaining her great-grandchildren, whose laughter and joy filled her days with happiness. Her family fondly remembers her as a beacon of positivity and love, a woman who embraced life with open arms and a heart full of kindness. A service to celebrate Anita’s life will be held on November 14, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Heritage Baptist Church, located on Peeksville Rd, Locust Grove, Georgia, 30248. The family wishes to invite friends and loved ones for visitation after the service at her home on 184 Rockwood Lane, Locust Grove, GA, 30248. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to a charity of your choice, a gesture that Anita would appreciate as a reflection of her giving spirit. Anita's life was a testament to the love and joy she spread to all who knew her. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of those she touched.
