It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Anita Christian, who departed this life on March 21, 2026, at the age of 93. Born on June 29, 1932, in Baltimore, Maryland, Anita was a cherished daughter of the late Milton and Irene Johnson. Her life was a testament to unwavering love, kindness, and the beauty of a warm smile that could light up even the darkest of days. Anita was a devoted sister to her predeceased siblings, Milton, Marvin, and Eloise, and a loving mother who endured the profound loss of her sons, Stanley and Steven. Despite these profound losses, Anita's spirit remained resilient and filled with grace. She is survived by her devoted daughter Nancy Faulkner, and her caring nephew Larry Hollman, who will carry forward her legacy of love and compassion. Anita dedicated many years of her life to her work at John Hopkins Hospital, where she served with dedication and compassion until her retirement in 1999. Her colleagues and patients alike knew her for her unwavering commitment and the gentle kindness she extended to all she encountered. A woman of deep faith, Anita was an active member of St. Stephens A.M.E. Church, where her voice graced the Senior Choir, uplifting the congregation with every note. She found joy and fellowship as a member of the Age of Perfection group, where her laughter and positive spirit were contagious. Anita's love for music and dance was a reflection of her vibrant personality. She cherished the moments spent in the kitchen, baking cakes and pies with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, passing down not just recipes, but a legacy of love and joy. Her life was marked by a profound ability to connect with others, always offering a kind word and a smile that could brighten anyone's day. Anita embodied the virtues of love, kindness, and resilience, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her. A celebration of Anita's life will be held on March 26, 2026, at 10:00 AM at William C. Brown Funeral Home, located at 4002 Ridgewood Avenue, Baltimore, MD. We invite all who knew and loved Anita to join us in honoring a life well-lived, and in saying goodbye to a remarkable woman who touched so many lives. Though Anita has left this earthly realm, her spirit will forever reside in the hearts of those who knew her. Her legacy is one of love, kindness, and the simple yet profound act of making the world a better place, one smile at a time. She is now reunited with her loved ones who have gone before her, and for those of us left behind, we will honor her memory by striving to live with the same grace and compassion she exemplified every day of her life.
