June 11, 1995 — September 22, 2026

Angie Berrios, a cherished daughter, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully in her sleep on September 22, 2026, at the age of 31. Born on June 11, 1995, in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Angie faced the challenges of cystic fibrosis with remarkable courage and resilience throughout her life. Angie was the beloved daughter of Pedro and Iydanña, who supported her every step of the way. Her grandparents, Martin and Mira Berrios, predeceased her, leaving behind cherished memories of their time together. She is survived by her loving siblings, Tina Sevilla, Ernie Berrios, Susie Berrios, and Charles Mefford, who each shared a special bond with her. Angie also leaves behind a circle of devoted friends, including Austin Mayes, Felicia White, Gabby Rosario, and Angelina Vazquez, who will forever hold her in their hearts. Angie graduated from Jacksonville High School in Florida in 2013, where she was known for her bright spirit and determination. For nine years, she worked as a receptionist at the Marriott Hotel, where her warmth and professionalism left a lasting impression on colleagues and guests alike. Though Angie chose not to marry, she valued her relationships deeply and was known for her thoughtful nature. Her decision to remain unmarried was a reflection of her selflessness, as she didn't want to place any burdens on those she loved. A devoted member of Smiths Grove Baptist Church, Angie attended services every Sunday, finding solace and strength in her faith. Her love for baking brought joy to those around her, as she delighted in crafting cakes and muffins for family and friends. Her passion for poetry, particularly the works of Dylan Thomas, inspired many, and she often quoted, "Do not go gentle into that goodnight," embodying its message of resilience. Angie's unwavering tenacity, even in the face of illness, was a testament to her indomitable spirit. She was a beacon of hope and love, always praying for peace and happiness for those around the world. A service to celebrate Angie's life will be held on September 27, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Hardy and Son Funeral Home, located at 259 Broadway St, Smiths Grove, KY 42171, United States. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Kentucky Cystic Fibrosis Services in Angie's memory, an organization that was dear to her heart. The family expresses their deepest gratitude to all who shared their lives with Angie. As she often reminded us, in the words of Dylan Thomas, "Do not go gentle into that goodnight." Her legacy of love and strength will continue to inspire all who knew her.
