Angelo Elias Morris, affectionately known to many as "Big Lo," passed away peacefully on September 23, 2026, at the age of 72. Born on April 29, 1954, in San Bernardino, California, Angelo was a man of many talents and an even greater heart. He was the beloved son of the late Ernest Morris and Emma Jean Rolland-Morris. Angelo was predeceased by his cherished son, Angelo Morris Jr., his daughter Laquita Bates, and his dear parents. His legacy is carried on by his 15 children and numerous grandchildren, including Gabrielle Morris, Jamerson Harris, Shawntis Franklin, Marquita Bates, Lakesha Bates, and Gary Franklin Jr., each of whom he adored deeply. Angelo was truly a jack of all trades, applying his skills and wisdom to numerous fields with a unique candor and vivacity. However, his true passion lay in the intricacies of law, serving as a self-proclaimed paralegal. His vast knowledge of local, state, and federal laws was remarkable, and he found immense joy in understanding the nuances of legal texts. Fishing was another pastime Angelo enjoyed, but his greatest joy came from serving others. Known for his enormous giving heart, Angelo derived true happiness from acts of kindness and service. His generosity knew no bounds, and his community is all the richer for it. A celebration of Angelo's life will be held on September 26, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Central Avenue Funeral Home, located at 2703 E Central Ave, Wichita, KS 67214. The family extends a heartfelt thank you to Central Avenue Funeral Home for their compassionate care and support during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Angelo Morris Foundation, an organization dedicated to continuing Big Lo's legacy of giving and community service.
