Angelina S. Maes, a beacon of warmth and compassion, passed away peacefully at her home on August 11, 2026, surrounded by her beloved children. Born in the vibrant town of Pueblo, Colorado, on June 11, 1940, Angelina was the cherished daughter of Celina DeHerra and Solomon E. Gallegos. Angelina shared her life with her devoted husband, Mike Maes, and together they built a family filled with love and laughter. She was the proud mother of Michael and Debbie, and the doting grandmother to Jeremy, who was the light of her life. Her heart was also filled with love for her fur baby, Cooper, who brought her immense joy. A natural caregiver, Angelina devoted her career to helping others as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). Her kind-hearted nature and generous spirit touched the lives of many, especially as she cared for her disabled husband with unwavering dedication. Angelina's contributions extended beyond her professional life as she was a cherished member of St. Laurence O'Toole, where she found community and fellowship. Angelina will be dearly missed by her surviving family, including her sisters Irene, Lilly, Jenny, and Ernestine, her brothers Freddy and Phil, and her cherished grandson Jeremy. Her life was a testament to kindness and generosity, always catering to the needs of those around her, whether family, friends, or strangers. Angelina's heart knew no bounds, and her legacy of love and care will continue to inspire all who knew her.
