Angela Michelle (Goodson) Murray August 15, 1966 – June 9, 2026 It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Angela "Angie" Michelle (Goodson) Murray, who left us peacefully on June 9, 2026, at the age of 59. Angie was born on August 15, 1966, in the small town of Gaffney, South Carolina, where she began a life filled with love, laughter, and an unwavering spirit. She moved to Sarasota, Florida with her family in 1976 and later to Bradenton where she remained until her passing. Angie was the cherished oldest daughter of Sherry Martin and the late Kenneth Goodson Sr., and stepdaughter to Lee Martin, who embraced her with open arms. Growing up in a caring family, she found inspiration from her parents, who instilled in her the values of and kindness and compassion. Her radiant smile and infectious laughter touched everyone she met, leaving a lasting impression on friends and family alike. She worked in the field of antique upholstery restoration as well as a boating upholsterer at Wellcraft. Later, she and her mother Sherry had their own upholstery shop where they continued their craft until Angie became disabled. Her greatest joy and proudest achievement was her beloved son, Tyler Murray. She often spoke of him as the light of her life, finding in him a source of endless love and inspiration. Her devotion to Tyler was unmatched, and she took great pride in watching him grow into the remarkable individual he is today. Angie was a beloved sister to Sharon (Dean) White, whose bond was as deep as it was enduring, and to her brother Kenny (Sarah) Goodson. Her family extended beyond immediate relatives, as she was deeply loved by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and a multitude of friends who were touched by her generosity and warmth. Angie's life was a testament to the power of love and the importance of family and friendship. Her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her. In this time of mourning, Angie's family finds comfort in the cherished memories they shared with her and the knowledge that her light will continue to shine brightly in their lives. They invite all who knew and loved Angie to join them in a celebration of her life at a later date, details of which will be shared in the coming weeks. Angela Michelle (Goodson) Murray will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love and kindness will endure, reminding us of the beauty and frailty of life. REVELATION 21:4 ~ He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain. I'M FREE by Ann Lindgren Davison Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free, I'm following paths God made for me I took his hand, I heard him call Then turned, and bid farewell to all I could not stay another day To laugh, to love, to sing, to play Tasks left undone must stay that way I found my peace ... at close of day And if my parting left a void Then fill it with remembered joy A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss Ah yes, these things I too will miss. Be not burdened... deep with sorrow I wish you sunshine of tomorrow My life's been full I've savoured much Good friends, good times A loved one's touch Perhaps my time seemed all too brief Don't lengthen it now with grief Lift up your heart and share with me, God wants me now ... He set me free.
