Angel Franqui
April 4, 1965 — March 17, 2024
In loving memory of Angel Franqui, who passed away peacefully at his home under hospice care on March 17, 2024, after a courageous battle with leukemia. Angel was born on April 4, 1965, in the serene town of Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico, to John and Mary Smith. His life journey, marked by love, dedication, and resilience, touched the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Angel was a devoted husband to Milly, with whom he shared a remarkable 50-year marriage filled with love, laughter, and unwavering support. Together, they raised two wonderful children, Lourdes and Papo Franqui, who were the pride and joy of Angel's life. Though he had no grandchildren or great-grandchildren, his legacy of kindness and encouragement lives on through his family.
A loyal brother to Leslie and a cherished friend to Ramon Casiano, Angel's bonds with those he loved were strong and enduring. His ability to encourage others and offer support was a defining characteristic, making him a source of strength and inspiration to his family and friends.
Angel pursued his education at Escuela Superior Ines Maria, where he laid the foundation for a successful career as a "Perito electricista." His dedication to his work was evident in the care and precision he brought to every project, leaving a lasting impact on his community.
For over 40 years, Angel was a committed Jehovah's Witness, finding solace and strength in his faith. His devotion to his beliefs was unwavering, and he found great joy in being an active member of his congregation.
Outside of his professional and spiritual commitments, Angel had a passion for working, always finding purpose and fulfillment in his endeavors. His tireless work ethic and commitment to excellence were admired by all who knew him.
Angel's family and friends will forever remember his gentle spirit, his ability to lift others with his words, and his unwavering courage in the face of adversity. As we celebrate his life, we are reminded of the profound impact he has had on each of us, and we hold his memory close to our hearts.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Angel's honor to support leukemia research or a charity of your choice. A memorial service will be held to honor Angel’s life and legacy; details will be shared with family and friends.
As we say goodbye to a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, we find comfort in knowing that Angel Franqui’s light will continue to shine brightly in our hearts forever.
