Andrew Maas, a beloved son, father, and friend, passed away at the age of 40. Born on June 24, 1986, in Centreville, AL, Andrew carried the warmth and charm of his hometown with him wherever he went. His life, though cut short, was filled with laughter, love, and an unyielding joy for the simple pleasures of life. Andrew is remembered by his adoring family, including his mother Karin Maas and stepfather Dwight Mitchell, his father Jim Maas and stepmother D'andria Maas, and his cherished son Nate Myers. He leaves behind his half-brothers Jason and Danny James, and step-sisters Kelly Mitchell and Rachel Manning. Andrew's extended family of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins, along with countless friends, will forever hold his memory close. Preceded in death by his Paw Paw Ed Caffee and his Pop Jimmy Shuttlesworth, Andrew was deeply shaped by the love and wisdom of these influential figures in his life. Their spirits undoubtedly live on through him, as he was known for his happy-go-lucky nature and the ability to uplift everyone he met. Andrew never met a stranger; his infectious smile and friendly demeanor drew people to him effortlessly. Educated with a GED, Andrew dedicated his professional life to working at Stella Jones in Briarfield, AL. Outside of work, Andrew found solace and joy in life's simpler pursuits. He had a passion for lawn care, often spending hours in his yard staying busy. His hands were never idle, as he enjoyed whittling on wood and engaging in minor mechanical work. The Cahaba River held a special place in his heart, where he spent countless hours fishing, finding peace and reflection by its banks. A memorial service to honor Andrew's life will be held at 1:00 PM on October 3, 2026, at The One Church, located at 2446 Main St, Brent, AL 35034. Family and friends are invited to gather and celebrate the life of a man who brought so much joy to those around him. Andrew Maas will be dearly missed but fondly remembered by all who knew him. His spirit lives on in the hearts of his family and friends, a testament to a life well-lived.
