Andrew Lee Garrett, born on January 24, 1959, in Gadsden, Alabama, peacefully passed away at home. Andrew was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend whose presence brought warmth and joy to those around him. He was the cherished son of the late Leoba Garrett Sr. and Marguerite Garrett. Andrew was predeceased by his dear parents, as well as his sisters Edith Hood, Ruthie Walls, Dollie Pearl Garrett, Margaret Garrett Hendrix, Beatrice Garrett, Elizabeth Croft, and his brother Ronnie Garrett. Andrew is survived by his loving family, which includes two brothers, three sisters, and many nieces and nephews who adored him dearly. His family was a pillar of support and a source of constant love throughout his life. Andrew dedicated many years to volunteering at the Salvation Army, where he found immense joy in being around people and offering his kindness to those in need. His selfless nature and generous spirit left a lasting impact on all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Beyond his volunteer work, Andrew was an avid reader with a passion for exploring new worlds through literature. His love for books was infectious, and he often shared his favorite stories with friends and family. A celebration of Andrew's life will be held on August 13, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the Solace Funeral Home Chapel, located at 901 Tuscaloosa Ave, Gadsden, Alabama 35901. Family and friends are invited to come together to honor and remember Andrew and the beautiful life he led. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Andrew's memory, reflecting his lifelong commitment to helping others. Andrew Lee Garrett will be deeply missed, but his legacy of love, kindness, and generosity will continue to inspire all who knew him. May he rest in peace, and may his memory be a blessing to all.
