Andrew Joaquin Greenwood, 20, departed this world on Sunday, August 23, 2026. Born on September 18, 2005, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Andrew brought warmth, loyalty, & unforgettable energy to everyone blessed to know him.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Robert Greenwood and Joyce (BuffaloHead) Greenwood of Oklahoma City whose memories he held dear throughout his life.
Andrew's memory will forever be cherished by his loving parents, Shaula Greenwood and Armondo Anaya, of Oklahoma City. He is survived by his paternal grandmother, Lucia Estrada-Galvan of Oklahoma City; and maternal grandparents, Ernie Hamilton and Mary (BuffaloHead) Hamilton of Ponca City,OK. He leaves behind a strong bond with his brothers- Isaiah, Josiah, Julian, Xavier, Adrian, and Elijah Greenwood, all of Oklahoma City; and Sister- in-law, Alondra Greenwood, of Oklahoma City. Andrew is also remembered with deep affection by honorary family members- Nino, Blaze, Ibrahim, and Diamond, as well as a host of family and friends.
Andrew's life was a testament to his kindness, understanding, and generosity. His comic relief, infectious smile, and genuine nature brought warmth and joy to those around him and there was never a dull moment when Andrew entered the room. As an enrolled member of the Ponca Nation, Andrew was a natural leader and his influence extended beyond his years. Andrew's vibrant spirit, generous heart, and connection to his family will remain a lasting legacy. Andrew enjoyed learning about the culinary arts and he would prepare his family's meals so that his working mom didn't have to. He will be profoundly missed in the hearts of all those who loved him.
A celebration of Andrew's life will be held on Monday, August 31, 2026. Dinner will be served at 5:00 p.m. and the wake service will begin at 7:00 p.m. at the Mary Lee Clark United Indian Methodist Church, located at 1100 Howard Drive, Del City, Oklahoma, 73115. Family and friends are invited to join us in honoring Andrew's memory.

Andrew Joaquin Greenwood will forever remain in our hearts, a shining example of love and compassion. He will always be remembered as that "sweet lil boy who smiled with his eyes" and forever etched his love within our hearts. Andrew lived his life to the fullest and although he has left this world, his legacy endures, inspiring us to live with the same grace and kindness that he embodied every day of his life. One of his favorite quotes read, "If God is all that I have then God is all that I need". Truly, God has welcomed his child into the Kingdom of Heaven where he was reunited with his grandparents.
