October 14, 1964 — October 25, 2026

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Andrew J. Lord III, known to many as Andy, who departed this world on October 25, 2026. Born on October 14, 1964, in Kingston, New York, Andy's early years were filled with the warmth and love of his parents, Andrew and Marlene (Gray) Lord, who have preceded him in death. Andy faced his final days with courage and grace, passing peacefully after a brief yet valiant battle with cancer at the Kaplan Family Hospice Residence in Newburgh, NY. Throughout his life, he demonstrated an unwavering strength and warmth that touched all who had the privilege of knowing him. A dedicated worker, Andy spent much of his career serving the community as a custodian with the Redhook Central School District and the Hudson City School District. His steadfast work ethic and friendly demeanor left a lasting impression on colleagues and students alike. Additionally, Andy contributed his skills to Premier Brands in Hudson, where he formed cherished friendships and made a meaningful impact. Andy’s life was defined by his love for his family and his passion for life’s simple joys. He found immense happiness in fishing trips with his beloved grandchildren and shared countless memorable moments with them at the BMX track. Andy was an avid fan of wrestling and took great pleasure in visits to the Lebanon Valley Speedway, where the thrill of the race mirrored his zest for life. His legacy lives on through his loving children: Andrew and his wife Missy Lord, Adam lord (Melissa), Marlene lord (Eric), and Amanda, who will carry forward his compassionate spirit and dedication to family. Andy was a proud grandfather to eleven wonderful grandchildren: Elizabeth, Alexis, Andrew Jr., Olivia, Anthony, Mariah, Carter, Jasmine, Megan, Sarah and Ida. Each grandchild held a special place in his heart, and he found great joy in being a part of their lives. Andy also had much love for Mark and Rachel Grant and there boys Theo and Dennis who he treated like family from day one. Arrangements have been entrusted to Burnett & White Funeral Homes, Red Hook, NY 12571, however they are incomplete at this time and will be announced by the family at a later date. Andy will be dearly missed, yet his spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him. May we carry forward his legacy of love, warmth, and resilience, cherishing the beautiful memories he leaves behind.
