January 2, 1970 — April 7, 2026

Andrew "Drew" Mosley, a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully in his home on April 7, 2026, at the age of 56. Born on January 2, 1970, in Auburn, New York, Drew was the cherished son of Theodore (Ted) and Anne Mosley. Drew's journey in life was marked by his indomitable spirit and his ability to turn challenges into triumphs. He attended SS Peter and Paul Elementary School in Auburn, where his love for learning first took root, and later graduated from Auburn High School. Drew continued his education at Cayuga Community College, where he cultivated a passion for the arts and creativity, which would become a hallmark of his later years. Though Drew faced significant adversity following a life-threatening stroke in 2013, he remained resilient and determined. He found purpose and fulfillment in his role as Office Manager at Builder's Choice in Auburn, proving that his spirit was unyielding and his talents were undiminished. A man of many passions, Drew was an active member of the Auburn Photography Club, where he captured the beauty of the world through his lens. His love for gardening, cooking, and local music brought joy not only to himself but to those around him. Drew's enthusiasm for Legos and all things Star Wars reflected his playful and imaginative nature. He was also known for his quirky habit of sending early morning memes and emojis to his family and friends, spreading smiles and laughter. Drew was a super independent, "handi-capable" individual who lived his best life during his toughest years. His sister fondly remembers him as one of the smartest, kindest, most stubborn, and loving individuals she ever met. He was truly her first best friend, a sentiment shared by many who knew him. Drew is survived by his devoted mother, Anne (Komarisky) Mosley; his loving sister, Suzanne (Trevor) Komanecky; his dedicated brother, Stewart (Mary) Mosley; and his treasured nieces, Allison Pelton Komanecky and Shannon Pelton Komanecky, as well as his dear nephew, Dominic Mosley. He will also be deeply missed by his closest friend of almost 40 years, Dean Aversa, who stood by him through thick and thin. Drew was predeceased by his father, Ted Mosley, and his niece, Mollie Pelton, whose memories he cherished deeply. In celebrating Drew's life, we honor a man who faced life's challenges with courage and humor. He was a beacon of strength and love, whose legacy will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him. His life reminds us that even in the face of adversity, there is always room for love, laughter, and the pursuit of one's passions. A memorial service will be held to honor Drew's life and legacy. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a local charity supporting stroke survivors, in memory of Drew's unwavering spirit and determination. May Drew's soul rest in peace, and may his memory be a blessing to all who knew him.
