Andrew “Andy” Rodriguez, 67, passed away peacefully on September 24, 2026, in Houston, Texas, at Kindred Hospital Houston Northwest. Originally from San Antonio, Texas, Andy was a graduate of Holy Cross High School.
Andy was a cheerful, loving, and kindhearted person who treasured his family and enjoyed making others smile. He had a great love for good food—not only enjoying a delicious meal, but also taking great pleasure in preparing wonderful meals for his wife, Diana, and for family and friends. His warm personality, generous spirit, and love for those around him created many cherished memories that will remain in the hearts of all who knew him.
Andy had many interests and hobbies that brought him joy. He especially loved his cats and held a special place in his heart for his two beloved dogs, Cigar and Rocky, who have since passed. He also enjoyed spending time at the horse track, with the Kentucky Derby being his favorite event. A devoted sports fan, Andy loved watching baseball, basketball, and football.
Andy was preceded in death by his father, Francisco Rodriguez Sr., and his beloved dogs, Cigar and Rocky.
He is survived by his loving wife, Diana Rodriguez; his mother, Guadalupe Rodriguez; his brother, Frank Rodriguez Jr., his wife, Lorraine; his sisters, Becky Rodriguez; Virginia Lucio and her husband, Gerald, and Herlinda Rodriguez; as well as his nieces, nephews, extended family, and many friends who will forever cherish his memory.
Andy’s cheerful spirit, love of family, love of animals, and enjoyment of life will be remembered always. Though he is no longer with us, the memories he created and the love he shared will remain in the hearts of his family and friends forever.
Rest in peace, Andy. You will be deeply loved, deeply missed, and never forgotten.

He Is Gone
You can shed tears that he is gone,
Or you can smile because he has lived.
You can close your eyes and pray that he'll come back,
Or you can open your eyes and see all he's left.
Your heart can be empty because you can't see him,
Or you can be full of the love you shared.
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday,
Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.
You can remember him and only that he's gone,
Or you can cherish his memory and let it live on.
You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back,
Or you can do what he'd want:
Smile, open your eyes, love and go on.
Special Thanks
The family of our loved one extends heartfelt gratitude for your prayers, support, and kindness during this time.
