It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Andrew "Andy" Michael Gibson, a beloved husband, father, son, and friend who left us far too soon on June 26, 2026. Born on February 1, 1988, in Coldwater, Ohio, Andy blessed the world with 38 years of kindness, love, and boundless compassion.
Andy was the cherished son of Dee Gibson and Shane Gibson, who nurtured his empathetic spirit. He is predeceased by his grandparents, Richard and Dorothy Krites. Andy's legacy of love continues through his beloved wife, Melissa, and their two incredible sons, Elijah and Maddox. He is also survived by his loving siblings, Garrett Gibson and Monica Gibson, who will forever cherish the laughter and memories they shared.
Andy and Melissa celebrated their love in marriage on September 26, 2015, embarking on a journey filled with ten wonderful years of partnership and joy. Together, they created a home vibrant with love, laughter, and adventure, where their boys learned the values of kindness and compassion from their parents.
A man of many passions, Andy found joy in the great outdoors, often spending his time fishing, hunting, and exploring the mountains. He delighted in family adventures and working on projects with his sons, teaching them the value of curiosity and hands-on learning. His love for life was infectious, and he had a remarkable gift for never meeting a stranger, filling every room with warmth and laughter.
Andy’s heart was as big as his smile, and his empathetic nature touched countless lives. His generosity and selflessness have left an indelible mark on all who were fortunate enough to know him. Andy's spirit will live on through the countless acts of kindness he bestowed upon others, continuing to inspire and uplift those who carry his memory.
In honoring Andy’s wishes, a private ceremony will be held to commemorate his life and legacy. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to every staff member at Richmond County Hospice. Their unwavering dedication and compassionate care provided immense comfort and peace during Andy's final days, and their work continues to touch many lives.
As we bid see you later to a man who was truly one of a kind, we invite those who knew Andy to cherish their memories and continue his legacy of love and kindness. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to a charity of your choice, spreading the generosity and empathy that Andy embodied throughout his life.
