Born on May 23, 1966, in Ypsilanti, Michigan, Andrea was a loving daughter to the late Claybourne and Jacqueline Mullen. She graduated from Willow Run High School and pursued higher education at Eastern University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work. Her career was spent making an indelible impact as a social worker at the University of Michigan, where her genuine care for others shone brightly. In addition to her professional achievements, Andrea was a devoted leader within her community. She served as the president of the Consumer Advisory Board for SOS, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping those in need. Her commitment to service extended beyond her professional life, as she was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it. Andrea was a woman of many talents and interests. She relished the simple, yet profound joys of crocheting and reading, often sharing her creations and favorite stories with friends and family. Her generous spirit and loving nature were the foundation of her relationships, and she was known for her ability to bring warmth and joy into the lives of those around her. Andrea is survived by her beloved children, Keyante Jones, Jacqueline Jones, Latiana Jones, Malik Mullen, and JaKeLa Mullen, who will forever carry her love in their hearts. Her legacy continues through her ten grandchildren, each of whom brought immense joy to her life. She is also survived by her siblings, Derek Mullen, Alice Boyd, Lisa Wells, and Renonda Mullen, along with a large extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Andrea was formerly married to Derwin Jones, with whom she shared many cherished memories. Her enduring love and kindness remain in the hearts of all who knew her. The family invites friends and loved ones to celebrate Andrea's life at a memorial service on August 1, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Abundant Life Ministries, located at 855 East Clark Rd, Ypsilanti, MI 48198.
