Andrea Darby, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2026, at the age of 84. Born on June 24, 1942, in the charming town of Summerlee, WV, Andrea was the cherished daughter of Wille C. Darby and Christa B. Green. Andrea was a beacon of love and strength for her family, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and compassion. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Horace Mann, and her parents, Wille C. Darby and Christa B. Green. In her Union to Archie Langham SR. was born five children, is survived by her beloved children: Archie Langham Jr., daughter in-law Susan Langham. JR, Alan E. Langham, Anita C. Langham, Annette M. Langham, of Boston, MA and Audrey B. McMillian. son in-law Rodney McMillian of Willingboro, NJ. Her family was her pride and joy, and she was blessed with 19 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great granddaughter, and a host of friends who will all miss their loving matriarch dearly. Throughout her career, Andrea dedicated her professional life to her role at the IRS, where she was admired for her dedication and work ethic. Beyond her career, Andrea had a zest for life that was infectious. She found joy in visiting the casino, where she cherished the thrill and excitement of the games. Her love for life’s simple pleasures was a testament to her spirited nature. Andrea’s life was a testament to her resilience and unwavering love for her family. Her home was always filled with laughter, warmth, and the aroma of delicious meals lovingly prepared for her family and friends. Andrea had an innate ability to make everyone feel welcome and loved, creating a home that was a sanctuary for those who visited. A service to celebrate Andrea’s remarkable life will be held on November 18, 2026, at 11:00 AM. Faith Christian Church, 301 Harvard St, Dorchester, MA 02124 Andrea Darby will be remembered for her boundless love, her unwavering strength, and her enduring legacy of kindness. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
