January 1, 1962 — June 7, 2026

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Andre Thomas, a beloved brother, father, grandfather, and friend, who left this world on June 7, 2026, at the age of 64. Andre passed away due to heart failure, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories. Born on January 1, 1962, in the historic town of Vicksburg, Andre was the cherished son of Charlene and Billy Thomas, who predeceased him. Growing up, Andre embraced the vibrant culture and rich history of his hometown, carrying fond memories of Vicksburg throughout his life. Andre was a devoted brother to William Thomas, who, along with his wife Vanessa, survives him. Their bond was unbreakable, and they shared countless cherished moments together. As a father, Andre's heart was full of love for his children, Andrea, Colby, and Noah, who were his greatest pride and joy. He taught them the values of kindness, perseverance, and the importance of family. Andre's legacy extends to his precious grandchild, who brought immense joy to his life and whom he adored deeply. Andre had a zest for life that was contagious. He found peace and solace in the simple pleasures, especially when fishing. Those who knew him can fondly recall his stories of early morning trips to the lake, where the silence of dawn was broken only by the gentle splash of water. His love for adventure was evident through his passion for riding his motorcycle, feeling the wind and freedom of the open road, often joined by friends or on solo journeys that allowed him to reflect and appreciate life's beauty. His spirit will be celebrated and remembered at a service on July 5, 2026, at 3:00 PM, held at New Palestine Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to join in honoring Andre's life, sharing stories, and finding comfort in the memories he leaves behind. As we say goodbye to Andre, we remember a man whose life was defined by love, adventure, and an unyielding spirit. Though he is no longer with us, his laughter, wisdom, and kindness will echo in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know him. Rest in peace, dear Andre, in the embrace of the angels and the eternal warmth of love. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Andre's memory, keeping his spirit of generosity and compassion alive. May his soul find eternal peace and may his memory be a blessing to all.
