May 8, 1957 — May 15, 2026

In loving memory, we announce the peaceful passing of Andre Perkins, a cherished soul who departed this world on May 15, 2026, at the age of 69. Born on May 8, 1957, in the vibrant city of Chicago, IL, Andre was the beloved son of Mary and Allen Perkins, who, along with his brothers Allen, Darryl, Tiberius, Pherando, Parvin, Pierre Perkins, and sister Patricia Peterson, precede him in death. Andre was a man of great warmth, generosity, and kindness, whose life was a testament to love and resilience. He was deeply devoted to his family and leaves behind a legacy of selflessness and compassion. He was a guiding light to his surviving family members, including his children: David Nesbit, Tora Perkins, Temika Perkins, Andre and Heather Perkins, and Tashana Perkins. Andre's love extended to his nephews, Rando Perkins and Darius Perkins, and his bonus children, Nina Musgray, Michelle Musgray, Kimberly Musgray, and Terrence Musgray, who he cherished as his own. He also leaves behind his brother O’Keefe Parker, sister Monique Thomas, and sister-in-law Tiffany, all of whom held a special place in his heart. Andre shared a beautiful partnership with Lisa Gillantine since 2011. Their union was filled with laughter, adventures, and a deep, abiding love that transcended the ordinary. Lisa was not only his partner but his confidante and best friend, who brought immense joy and warmth into his life. Andre's generous spirit was not confined to his family alone. He was a man who embraced everyone he met with an open heart and a ready smile. His love for life was contagious, and he inspired those around him to live with passion and gratitude. He was known for his quick wit, his love for the Chicago Cubs, and his ability to make everyone feel like family. A celebration of Andre's remarkable life will take place on May 30, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Bushloen Funeral Home. Family and friends will gather to honor a man who touched so many lives with his kindness and grace. As we remember Andre, let us hold onto the love and laughter he shared and strive to emulate the compassion and generosity that defined his life. Andre Perkins will be deeply missed, yet his spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. May he rest in eternal peace, knowing his legacy of love endures.
