Following his military service, Andre embarked on a long and fulfilling career at Dayton Steele, where he worked tirelessly until his retirement. His colleagues remember him not only for his work ethic but for his camaraderie and the genuine friendships he nurtured. A man of many talents and interests, Andre found joy in the open road, riding his motorcycle with the wind at his back and his spirit soaring. His love for automobiles was evident in the meticulous care with which he decorated his cars and vans, each a reflection of his unique personality and zest for life. An avid hunter, Andre cherished the quiet moments spent in nature, a testament to his appreciation for the simple and profound beauty of the world around him. Andre's community presence was monumental, particularly as the founder and first president of the Vampires Motorcycle Club, where he fostered a sense of brotherhood and shared passion among its members. Andre is predeceased by his parents, Lunie and Ora Petty, and siblings Ida, Annie, and Eva Petty, as well as his beloved son, Kristin "Big C" Petty Lomax. A service to celebrate Andre's remarkable life will be held on June 11, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Deliverance Temple Ministries, located at 80 E Nottingham Rd.
