Born on May 11, 1933, to the late Lunie and Ora Petty, Andre was a beacon of strength and warmth, beloved by all who were fortunate enough to know him. Andre's life was a testament to his dedication, resilience, and boundless passion for life. His early years were shaped by his service in the Army, where he served with honor and commitment, reflecting the steadfast character that he carried throughout his life. Following his military service, Andre embarked on a long and fulfilling career at Dayton Steele, where he worked tirelessly until his retirement. His colleagues remember him not only for his work ethic but for his camaraderie and the genuine friendships he nurtured. A man of many talents and interests, Andre found joy in the open road, riding his motorcycle with the wind at his back and his spirit soaring. His love for automobiles was evident in the meticulous care with which he decorated his cars and vans, each a reflection of his unique personality and zest for life. An avid hunter, Andre cherished the quiet moments spent in nature, a testament to his appreciation for the simple and profound beauty of the world around him. Andre's community presence was monumental, particularly as the founder and first president of the Vampires Motorcycle Club, where he fostered a sense of brotherhood and shared passion among its members. His leadership and vision left an indelible mark on the club, ensuring that it was not just an organization, but a family. At the heart of Andre's life was his devoted companion and friend of over 50 years, Toni Jones. Their partnership was a testament to enduring love and friendship, a bond that saw them through life's triumphs and challenges. He was a loving father to his surviving children: Evetta Petty, Theresa Petty, Aundre Petty Jr., Lisa Petty, Anthony Avery, and Quintin Petty, each of whom carries forward his legacy of kindness, strength, and integrity. Andre is predeceased by his parents, Lunie and Ora Petty, and siblings Ida, Annie, and Eva Petty, as well as his beloved son, Kristin "Big C" Petty Lomax. His family takes solace in knowing that they are reunited in a place of peace. A service to celebrate Andre's remarkable life will be held on June 11, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Deliverance Temple Ministries, located at 80 E Nottingham Rd. Friends and family are invited to gather in remembrance of a life well-lived and a man well-loved.
