Ana Maria Martinez Guzman, affectionately known as Tita, passed away peacefully at the age of 83. Born on October 28, 1942, in the charming town of Barceloneta, Puerto Rico, Tita was the cherished daughter of Felipe Martinez and Maria Guzman. Her life was a testament to love, resilience, and the profound impact one person can have on generations.
Tita filled her family’s lives with love and warmth, holding her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren close to her heart. Her love lives in the family she brought together, and her beloved daughter, Rosa Ortiz, and son, Rafael Ortiz, treasure her memory.
Tita is survived by her five grandchildren: Jowie, Jonathan, Jennifer, Rafael Jr., and Christopher Ortiz, who fondly remember her as a grandmother who filled their lives with joy, laughter, and guidance. Her 12 great-grandchildren, Brian, Jayson, Joel, Lamonte, Landon, Angel, Jocelyn, David, Monse, Caleb, Juliana, and Aria, will carry forward the cherished memories and the joyous spirit she shared with them. Her two nephews, Ivan and Sandro Martinez, loved her dearly.
Tita possessed a remarkable ability to surprise those around her with spontaneous jokes, often catching her family off guard and filling their gatherings with laughter and light. Her sense of humor was matched only by her capacity for love, creating a home that was always open and welcoming to all who entered.
As her family reflects on her life, they find comfort in the stories she told, the laughter she inspired, and the wisdom she imparted. Although her absence leaves a profound void, her memory lives on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
A celebration of Tita's life will be held on November 1, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Pierce Funeral Home, located at 9609 Center Street, Manassas, VA 20110. Family and friends are invited to join in honoring a life well-lived and to share in the love and laughter that Tita so freely gave.

The Lord's Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come,
thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
and the power, and the glory,
for ever and ever.
Amen.
