Ana Maria Alvarez, a beloved sister, aunt, and friend, passed away suddenly on September 28, 2026. Born on March 4, 1962, in San Antonio, TX, Ana was a beacon of warmth and kindness, leaving a lasting impact on everyone she encountered. Ana was a caring soul with an innate ability to remember the little things that mattered most, such as birthdays, ensuring everyone felt cherished and celebrated. Her compassionate nature extended beyond her family, as she was always there to lend a helping hand or share a hearty laugh with anyone in need. Her sense of humor and gentle spirit brought joy to those around her, making even the smallest moments feel special. Ana was preceded in death by her loving parents, Elena and Arturo Gonzales, as well as her grandparents. She is survived by her devoted siblings: Maria Peña and her husband Jose Peña Jr.; Alfred Gonzales and his wife Ruby Gonzales; Joe Gonzales and his beloved wife Elizabeth Gonzales; David Gonzales and his wife Sandra Gonzales; Juan Gonzales and his wife Aurora Gonzales; Arturo Gonzales and his wife Diana Gonzales; and Gloria Reyes. As well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Ana's family was the cornerstone of her life, and she held them close to her heart, always providing unwavering love. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Ana's life on October 10, 2026, at 9:00 AM at Delgado Funeral Home, located at 2200 W. Martin St. The service will be a testament to her life, filled with love and laughter, as she would have wanted. The family wishes to thank everyone for their generosity, support and love during this difficult time. Ana will be missed deeply and her legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew her, and her spirit will continue to inspire kindness and joy in the lives she touched.
