Canaveris and Elida Canaveris Peleaz. Ana was predeceased by her beloved parents, Carlos and Elida, her first husband, Eduardo O. Garcia, her sister-in-law Graciela Canaveris, and her brother-in-law Alfredo Young. Yet, in her passing, she is lovingly remembered by her devoted husband, Jorge A. Leiva, her children, Ernesto Alejandro Garcia and Marianela Garcia, and her precious grandchildren, Diego, Daniela, Roberto, and Eliana. Ana's siblings, Daniel Canaveris, Graciela Canaveris, and Monica Young Canaveris, along with a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and her extended family in Uruguay, continue to treasure her memory. Ana's life was marked by a dedication to both family and community. Her career spanned various roles, from her early days at Burry Biscuit on Frelinghuysen Ave. to positions at Shoppers World on Broad St., Newark International Airport, and National Health. Her work was more than a career; it was a testament to her unwavering commitment and strong work ethic. A woman of varied interests, Ana found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She delighted in nature, spending countless hours bird watching and tending to her garden. Music and dance filled her home with joy, and her warm smile and welcoming nature made everyone feel at ease. Ana's ability to create unforgettable moments with her loved ones was a reflection of her generous spirit and profound appreciation for life. Ana's philanthropic spirit extended beyond her immediate circle, as she was a dedicated supporter of St. Jude's Children's Hospital, embodying her belief in the power of kindness and compassion. Her life was a tapestry of big emotions and an even bigger heart, always welcoming and understanding, and deeply committed to the happiness and well-being of others. In accordance with her wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to honor Ana's life. Her family shares a special message: "Forever in our hearts, no matter the distance or circumstance, she tried to warm everyone’s heart because she had such an enormous heart. She tried her best always with pure intentions, unselfishly wanting the best for everyone. Always courageous, always strong, with a heartwarming smile and soul. When she parted, she took a big part of those who love her but also left a lot of love and unforgettable moments behind for all of us to remember her by forever. She has left a mark on those who knew and loved her, just as much as she loved others. Now in the arms of the Almighty God and all of our loved ones that have parted before us, may she have eternal peace and rest in Jesus’ name, Amen."
