Ana was the beloved daughter of the late Carlos M. Canaveris and Elida Canaveris Peleaz. She was reunited in heaven with her parents, her first husband Eduardo Oscar Garcia, sister-in-law Graciela Canaveris, and brother-in-law Alfredo Young. Her legacy of love and kindness continues through her surviving family: her devoted husband, Jorge A. Leiva, her cherished children, Ernesto Alejandro Garcia and Marianela Garcia, and her adored grandchildren, Diego, Daniela, Roberto, and Eliana. Ana was also a loving sister to Daniel Canaveris, Graciela Canaveris, and Monica Young Canaveris, and a beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews. Her extended family in Uruguay and countless friends across the world mourn her loss and celebrate her life.
Ana’s educational journey began at Licseo de Montevideo in Uruguay. She then embarked on a diverse and fulfilling career, spending time working at Burry Biscuit on Frelenhuisen Ave, Shoppers World on Broad St, Newark International Airport, and National Health. Her professional endeavors were a reflection of her dedication and strong work ethic, traits that were evident in every aspect of her life.
A woman of immense warmth and understanding, Ana’s welcoming smile had the power to light up any room. She was a passionate lover of nature, often found bird watching or tending to her vibrant garden. Her love for music and dancing created many joyous moments that will be fondly remembered by those who shared in her happiness.
Ana was also a generous spirit, actively supporting organizations such as St. Jude's Children's Hospital. Her unselfish nature and desire to bring comfort to those around her made her a beacon of love and strength. She was known for creating unforgettable moments, ensuring that everyone felt included and cherished.
In honoring her wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held. Her family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude for the outpouring of love and support they have received. Ana will forever remain in our hearts, a testament to the power of pure intentions and unwavering love. She leaves behind a legacy of unforgettable moments and a mark on the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.
As we say goodbye, we take solace in the belief that Ana is now in the arms of the Almighty God, reunited with those she loved who have gone before her. May she rest in eternal peace, her spirit forever guiding and comforting us.
"Forever in our hearts, no matter the distance or circumstance. She warmed everyone’s heart with her enormous love, courage, and strength.
