Born in San Jose, Uruguay, on May 28, 1955, Ana graced this world with her presence for 70 meaningful years. Ana was the beloved daughter of the late Carlos M. Canaveris and Elida Canaveris Peleaz, whose love and values she carried forward throughout her life. Predeceased by her parents, her first husband Eduardo Oscar Garcia, sister-in-law Graciela Canaveris, and brother-in-law Alfredo Young, Ana is now reunited with them in eternal peace. Ana's memory will forever be cherished by her husband, Jorge A. Leiva, with whom she shared a loving marriage filled with joy and companionship. She leaves behind a legacy of love through her children, Ernesto Alejandro Garcia and Marianela Garcia, and her cherished grandchildren, Diego, Daniela, Roberto, and Eliana, who were the light of her life. Ana was also a devoted sister to Daniel Canaveris, Graciela Canaveris, and Monica Young Canaveris, and a beloved aunt to numerous nieces and nephews. Her extended family in Uruguay and countless friends whose lives she touched will remember her fondly. A graduate of Liceo de Montevideo in Uruguay, Ana's vibrant spirit and unwavering dedication were evident in every aspect of her life. Her career spanned various roles, from her time at Burry Biscuit on Frelenhuisen Ave. and Shoppers World on Broad St. to her service at Newark International Airport and National Health. Ana's work was more than a job; it was a testament to her tireless work ethic and her commitment to excellence. Ana was not only a dedicated worker but also a woman with a heart full of compassion. Her philanthropic efforts, including donations to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, reflected her deep desire to make the world a better place. When not working, Ana found joy in nature, bird watching, and tending to her home and garden. Her love for music and dancing was infectious, and she often filled her home with laughter and song. Known for her welcoming smile and understanding nature, Ana had a remarkable ability to make everyone around her feel comfortable and valued. She created unforgettable moments for those she loved, leaving behind an indelible mark through her big emotions and even bigger heart. Ana's legacy is one of courage, strength, and an unwavering commitment to the happiness of others. In keeping with her wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held. While we mourn her passing, we find solace in the special message from her family: "Forever in our hearts, no matter the distance or circumstance, Ana warmed everyone's heart with her enormous heart and pure intentions. She was courageous, strong, and always left us with her heartwarming smile and soul.
