It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Amya Williams, a beloved daughter, mother, and friend, who left us on October 20, 2026. Born on December 8, 1999, in Chicago, Illinois, Amya graced this world with kindness and warmth that touched the lives of everyone she met. Amya was the cherished daughter of Takeisha Heard and the devoted mother to her precious son, Ace Williams, age 4. Her family was her world, and she dedicated her life to nurturing and loving those closest to her. As a single mother, her strength and resilience were a testament to her unwavering commitment to providing a joyful and supportive environment for Ace, who was the light of her life. Amya graduated from Lisle High School in 2018 and pursued further education at Malcolm X College, where she explored various interests. Her passion for learning was evident, and she inspired those around her with her curiosity and determination. In her leisure time, Amya found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She cherished spending time with Ace, creating countless precious memories filled with laughter and love. Amya also enjoyed playing The Sims, a hobby that fueled her creativity and provided a delightful escape into a world of imagination. A memorial service to honor Amya’s life will be held on October 26, 2026, at 12:20 PM. Family and friends are invited to join in remembrance and celebration of a life well-lived and a legacy of love and compassion that will endure in the hearts of those who knew her. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Amya's memory, reflecting the generous spirit she embodied throughout her life. Amya Williams will be deeply missed, but her loving spirit and the joyous memories she created will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched.
