Amy Louise Green, a beacon of love and kindness, passed away unexpectedly at her home on March 2, 2026, at the age of 59. Born on September 10, 1966, in St. Paul, MN, Amy was the cherished daughter of Bonnie Stangel and James “Mike” Green Sr. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, her grandparents Hazel and Harold Hardy, Helen and Bill Lemke, and her precious fur babies Molly, Damien, and Jazmine.
Amy's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with love, compassion, and an unwavering dedication to those she held dear. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth and generosity that will be forever cherished by her significant other, Bruce Harn, with whom she shared 14 wonderful years of companionship and love. Her daughter, Ashley Casper, will carry forward her mother’s spirit and values, as will her siblings Michele (Greg) Larson, James (Kari) Green Jr., Lisa (Nick) Schuman, Heidi (Scott) Wieme, and Josh (Amanda) Stangel. Amy’s presence will also be deeply missed by her adored grandchildren, who brought immense joy to her life, and her treasured fur babies, Missy, Mr. Kitty, and Fiona.
Amy’s career as a driver for ACC Midwest Transportation was more than just a job; it was an extension of her generous nature and her love for connecting with people. She touched many lives through her work and her involvement in the community.
Amy had a passion for life that was infectious. She delighted in the simple pleasures of craft fairs, flea markets, and food trucks, and she found joy in the tranquility of gardening and the creativity of crocheting. Her adventures on cruises with her best friend, Cheryl Hill, her sister Michele, and their extended cruise family were some of her happiest times, filled with laughter and camaraderie.
To those who knew her, Amy was a woman with a heart of gold, always ready to lend a helping hand and offer a kind word. Her impact on those she encountered was profound, leaving an indelible mark of compassion and warmth.
A celebration of Amy’s life will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at the Community of Hope Nazarene Church in Brainerd, MN, from 2:30 to 4:00 PM. Her family invites all who knew her to join in remembering a life well-lived, filled with love, laughter, and a spirit that will never be forgotten.
