Ametria Danielle Coleman December 31, 1982 – August 17, 2026 It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Ametria Danielle Coleman, affectionately known as “Mesha.” Mesha passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by the love of her family. Born in South Bend, Indiana, Mesha was a vibrant soul who brought joy, laughter, and light to everyone fortunate enough to know her. Mesha’s life was a beautiful tapestry of love, laughter, resilience, and unwavering positivity. A proud graduate of Washington High School, Class of 2001, she went on to earn her degree in Graphic Design from Southwestern College in 2003. Mesha was a dedicated and hardworking professional who proudly owned her own business, “Making It Happen with Mesha.” She also devoted her talents and energy to UW Hospital of Wisconsin, where she began her career as an Anesthesia Technician and most recently served as a Sterile Processing Technician. While Mesha accomplished much throughout her life, her greatest passion was her family. She especially cherished her son, Dionte Howell, whom she affectionately called “Boots.” Her love for her family was evident in everything she did. Mesha had an extraordinary ability to make people laugh and feel welcomed. Her presence could brighten a room, and her kindness, generosity, and genuine spirit touched countless lives. She embraced life with a positive heart and had a remarkable way of making others feel loved and valued. Her laughter, her love, and the memories she created will remain treasured by all who knew her. Mesha was preceded in death by her cherished son, Javier Coleman, a loss she carried deeply in her heart; her sister, Yvonne Jackson (1990); her paternal grandparents, Columbus and Dorothy Coleman; and her maternal grandfather, Leonard Grundy, and her Godfather Tony Taylor. Mesha leaves to cherish her memory her beloved son, Dionte Howell; her devoted parents, Tamara “Tammy” Jackson and Ronald “Bam” Coleman; her brother, Ronald “Will” Coleman Jr.; her nephews, Greyson, Jaylen, and Zayden; her niece, Aleeyah “Peepee”; her maternal great-grandmother, Betty Jackson; her maternal grandmother, Almeda Dillard; and numerous beloved cousins, including Lanette Sanders and Sgt. Brandon Fleming, with whom she shared a particularly close bond. She also leaves behind her beloved godmother, Denise Taylor; her god-sisters, Tiffany and Tomorrow; and her goddaughter, Tariyah Gibson. Mesha was also blessed with cherished friendships that became like family. She leaves to cherish her memory her dear friends, Tierra Gibson, Katrina Rainey, Dennis Johnson, Jr., and Angel Leonard, who shared in her laughter, memories, and many special moments throughout her life. Along with them, she leaves many extended family members, friends, coworkers, and loved ones whose lives were blessed by knowing her. Though her time on Earth was far too short, Mesha’s spirit will live on through the people she loved, the lives she touched, the laughter she shared, and the memories she leaves behind. Her legacy is one of love, resilience, generosity, and joy—a legacy that will continue in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. A celebration of Mesha's life will be held on September 12, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Foster's Funeral Home, located at 2737 Coho St., Madison, WI. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Foster's Funeral Home for their compassionate care during this difficult time. In honoring Mesha's memory, the family kindly requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to a charity of your choice, reflecting Mesha's generous spirit and commitment to making the world a better place.
