Amanda Strickland

May 26, 1988 — April 23, 2026

It is with profound sorrow and a deep sense of loss that we announce the passing of Amanda Strickland, who left this world far too soon on April 23, 2026, at the age of 37. Born on May 26, 1988, in Ottawa, Amanda was a beacon of light and laughter, whose warm spirit and vibrant personality touched the lives of everyone she encountered. Amanda's life was tragically cut short in a car accident during what was meant to be a beautiful road trip—a pastime she cherished dearly. Known for her spontaneous road trips and love for exploration, Amanda embraced life with an adventurous soul. She believed in living life to the fullest, a mantra that was evident in her every action and in her love for camping and the great outdoors. A devoted mother, Amanda is survived by her beloved children, Brianna, Kaleb, and Kolton, who were the center of her world. She leaves behind a loving family that includes her siblings Jessica, Carla, and Brad; her cherished cousins John, Austin, and Gabby (Sam); her dear Uncle Michael and Aunt Anita; and her brothers-in-law Craig and Nathen. Amanda's life was further enriched by her friendships with Rick and Simon, along with countless others who were touched by her kindness and generosity. Amanda was predeceased by her mother, Mary Strickland, with whom she is now reunited. While she leaves behind no grandchildren or great-grandchildren, her legacy lives on in the hearts of her family and friends. Those who knew Amanda will remember her as funny, bubbly, and caring—a woman with a big heart and an infectious spirit. She had an uncanny ability to bring joy to any situation, often being the life of the party and dancing the night away with her friends. Her laughter was contagious, and her presence was a gift to all who were fortunate enough to know her. A celebration of Amanda's life will be held on May 13, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Kelly Funeral Home, located at 585 Somerset West. The family invites all those whose lives Amanda touched to join them in remembering and honoring her extraordinary life. In a special message, Amanda's family expresses, "Amanda lived a great life and touched the lives of many. May we remember and honor her by celebrating her life each and every day." Though Amanda's time with us was brief, her impact was immeasurable. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories that will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her. May her spirit continue to inspire all of us to live boldly, love deeply, and embrace every moment.
