It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life beautifully lived that we announce the passing of Amanda Rivera, who left this world peacefully at her home on May 31, 2026. Born on June 30, 1981, in Dunkirk, NY, Amanda graced this earth with 44 years of warmth, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family and community.
Amanda was the beloved daughter of Marilyn Warrick and Joseph Cole, who nurtured her into the remarkable woman she became. She was welcomed into heaven by her predeceased grandparents, Glen and Peggy Curtis, and her uncles, Rick Wicks and Lee Curtis, whose memories she cherished deeply.
Amanda's legacy is carried forward by her devoted husband, Camron Rivera Sr., and their cherished son, Camron Rivera Jr., who were the center of her world. Her life was also enriched by her brothers, Joe Cole, Paul Cole, Anthony Cole, Jordan Warrick, Tyler Cole, and Daniel Conti, and by her extended family, including brothers and sisters-in-law Christian Rivera, David and Ashley Rivera, Will Martinez, and Lisa Sheldon. She adored her nieces, Aaliyah, Aurea, and Amelia Rivera, and her nephew, Donovan Rivera, all of whom held a special place in her heart.
Amanda's family circle extended to her cherished aunt, Melayne Curtis, uncles Michael (Pat) Curtis and Ed Wicks, and cousins Elysia and Jose Lara, along with many others who were touched by her love and generosity. Her lifelong best friend, Michelle Ossman, stood by her side through thick and thin, a testament to the depth of their bond.
A proud graduate of Dunkirk High School in 2001, Amanda pursued a career that was a testament to her dedication and work ethic, serving as a custodial cleaner at both Fredonia State University and Ohio State University for many years. Her colleagues remember her as a beacon of positivity and a diligent worker who took immense pride in her role.
Amanda's faith was a cornerstone of her life. She was an active and dedicated member of St. Paul The Apostle Catholic Church in Westerville, Ohio, where she found solace and community. Her baptism into the Catholic faith in 2018 at Holy Trinity in Dunkirk, NY, was a milestone that she held dear.
Beyond her professional and spiritual commitments, Amanda was a woman of varied interests. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as baking delicious treats for her loved ones and cheering passionately for her favorite teams, the Buffalo Bills and the Ohio State Buckeyes.
Amanda's life was a testament to love, resilience, and unwavering faith. Her warmth, compassion, and jovial spirit left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her. As we bid farewell to Amanda, we hold close the memories of her laughter, her kindness, and an undying love that will continue to inspire all who knew her.
A celebration of Amanda’s life will be held at St. Paul The Apostle Catholic Church, where friends and family will gather to honor her memory and the beautiful legacy she leaves behind. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to a charity dear to Amanda's heart, supporting the community she loved so dearly.
