Amanda Marie Lyons

Amanda Marie Lyons, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully at her home in Indianapolis, Indiana, on June 10, 2026, at the age of 53. After a courageous and lengthy battle with chronic illnesses, including cancer and infections, Amanda spent her final moments surrounded by the love of her family and cherished pets. Born on January 1, 1973, in Indianapolis, Amanda was the cherished daughter of Michael and Debbie Lakin. She was predeceased by her mother, Carol Ellison, whose spirit and warmth she carried forward in her own life. Amanda's legacy of love and kindness will be carried on by her devoted husband of 27 years, Kurt Lyons, whom she married in June 2009. Amanda was a proud and loving mother to her four children: Cody Lakin, Payton Vankleeck, Michael Lyons, and Jacqueline Lyons, and multiple other children that we were blessed to have in our home. Her nurturing spirit and boundless love extended to her four adored grandchildren, who were the light of her life. Amanda's familial love also embraced her brother, Michael Lakin Jr., and her sister, Cindy Boswell, with whom she shared countless cherished memories. For 30 years, Amanda dedicated her professional life to RPM Domino's Pizza in Indiana, where she rose to the position of Regional District Manager. Her career in food services was more than just a job; it was an expression of her passion for cooking and serving others, a passion she carried into her personal life as well. Amanda's heart was as expansive as her smile, and her kindness knew no bounds. She was known for her ability to connect with anyone she met, and her home and phone were always open to those in need. Her generosity and warmth touched the lives of countless people, leaving an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to know her. An avid lover of the outdoors, Amanda cherished spending time in nature with her family and grandchildren. Her love for life was evident in her every action, and her joy was infectious. Amanda's presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit will continue to inspire all who knew and loved her. A service to celebrate Amanda's life will be held on June 30, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Indiana Funeral Care, located at 8151 Allisonville Rd, Indianapolis. In honoring Amanda's life and journey, her family requests that everyone open their hearts and do something extra for someone special, to reflect her love of people and her enjoyment of life. Amanda Marie Lyons will be remembered for her extraordinary compassion, her unwavering strength, and her unyielding love. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched.
