It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Alvin Gulleman, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. Born on August 3, 1933, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Alvin lived a full and vibrant life until his peaceful departure on August 26, 2026, surrounded by his loving family at home.
Alvin was the cherished son of the late Edna Hoff and Joseph Peter Gullemann. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Former Wife Elaine Gulleman (nee Fain) Children: Andrew Gulleman and Mary Jo Edward’s. Despite these losses, Alvin's life was a testament to resilience and love, qualities that he carried with him throughout his life.
In 1987, Alvin married Patricia “Lynne” Gulleman, (née Chaffin), on June 19. Their partnership was marked by mutual respect, devotion, and a shared love for the simple joys in life.
Alvin was a proud graduate of Western Hills High School, Class of 1952. His educational journey laid the foundation for a career marked by dedication and hard work. After 33 years of service, Alvin retired from the United States Postal Service in 1992 as a quality control officer, leaving behind a legacy of commitment and integrity.
Outside of his professional life, Alvin was a man of many passions. He found joy in the great outdoors, whether it was hiking, mowing the lawn or simply enjoying the serenity of nature. A love for old western movies, Alvin could often be found sharing his favorite films with friends and family, bringing the past to life with his vivid storytelling. His natural gift for humor and a penchant for telling jokes ensured that laughter was never far away when Alvin was present.
Above all, Alvin was a family man. His kind, caring, and loving nature made him the cornerstone of his family. He was a devoted husband, a doting father,stepfather, grandfather, great grandfather and a loyal friend. His adventurous spirit and infectious humor touched the lives of many, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Alvin’s legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
Alvin Gulleman will be profoundly missed, but his memory will be cherished forever by those who loved him. May he rest in peace.
