Allen Young Jr, a cherished companion, devoted father, and beloved grandfather, passed away on July 25, 2026, after a courageous and hard-fought battle with cancer. Born on February 8, 1957, in Independence, Missouri, Allen was the son of Mary Catherine and Allen Young. He was preceded in death by his parents and his loving wife, Lisa Young, with whom he shared nearly 35 beautiful years of marriage. Allen spent his career as a skilled electrician and crane technician, earning the respect and admiration of those he worked with. Upon retiring, he dedicated his time to his passions and his family, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew him. A man of warmth and generosity, Allen was a friend to everyone he encountered. He had a deep love for music, often seen playing the guitar with his brother, grandson, and friends. His collection of guitars was a testament to his lifelong love for music. Allen was also an avid sports fan, with a particular fondness for NASCAR, Kansas City Chiefs football, Kansas City Royals baseball, and the Missouri Tigers. His enthusiasm for sports was infectious, and he cherished the time spent cheering on his favorite teams with family and friends. Allen is survived by his children, Steve Rimmer (Elena), Megan Osborn (Joe), Jeremy Young, and Joseph Young, as well as his ten grandchildren: Hunter, Alex, Zoey, Liam, Kansas, Easton, Isaiah, Leon, Owen, and Archer. He is also survived by his siblings, Catherine Casey, Cynthia Webber, Claudia Hartness, Maggie Teifke, and Rob Young. His family and a wide circle of friends will remember him fondly for his kindness, humor, and unwavering support. A service to honor Allen's life will be held on August 6, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the Heartland Cremation and Burial Society, located at 6113 Blue Ridge Blvd, Raytown, MO 64133. Allen's family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, donations in Allen's memory may be made to a cancer research organization of your choice. He will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him, but his legacy of love and laughter will endure in the hearts of those he touched.
