In Loving Memory

Allen Monroe Jr
October 28, 1989 — May 31, 2026
It is with heartfelt sorrow and profound love that we announce the passing of Allen Monroe Jr, who departed from this world on May 31, 2026, at the age of 36. Allen passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by the warmth and love of his family. Born on October 28, 1989, in the vibrant city of Philadelphia, PA, Allen was a beacon of light and joy to all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Allen was the beloved son of Allen Monroe Sr and Tanya Richardson. He was predeceased by his cherished grandparents, Ralph Monroe and Patty Henderson, who undoubtedly welcomed him with open arms in the hereafter. He leaves behind a legacy of love in his surviving family: his devoted wife, Maegan Goings, and his four sons, Justin, Soldon, Rip, and Elijah Monroe, who were the center of his universe. Allen is also survived by his loving sister, Shay Monroe, and his dear nephew, Nas Richardson.
To describe Allen is to evoke images of laughter and warmth. His infectious smile and quick wit could light up any room, and his ability to make everyone feel seen, welcomed, and valued made him a friend to all. Whether sharing a joke, pulling a harmless prank, or offering a listening ear, Allen made life brighter for everyone around him. His presence was a gift that will be deeply missed.
The ocean was Allen's sanctuary. An avid surfer, he found peace and freedom within the rolling waves, spending countless hours at the beach doing what he loved most. Yet, beyond his love for the water, Allen's heart belonged to his sons. He cherished his role as a father, coaching their sports teams, imparting life lessons, and encouraging them to grow into strong, compassionate young men. His sons were his greatest pride and joy.
Allen's compassion extended beyond his family; he was a guiding light to many in the recovery community. Through his mentorship, he offered guidance, encouragement, and understanding, drawing from his own experiences to help others find hope and healing. His ability to support others through challenging times was a testament to his character and the generosity of his spirit.
A service to celebrate Allen's life will be held on June 6, 2026, at 1:30 PM at Rock Pentecostal Holiness Church in Georgetown, SC. The family invites all who knew and loved Allen to join them in honoring his remarkable life.
In a special message from his family, they share:
"A Final Farewell
When tomorrow starts without me,
And I’m not here to see,
If the sun should rise and find your eyes
All filled with tears for me,
I wish so much you wouldn’t cry
The way you did today,
While thinking of the many things
We didn’t get to say.
Remember not my passing,
But the life that I lived through.
Remember all the laughter shared,
And know my love remains with you.
Allen’s story does not end here. It lives on in every wave that reaches the shore, every laugh shared among family and friends, every young man he encouraged, and every memory held close by those who loved him.
'The song has ended, but the melody lingers on.'
Forever Loved.
Forever Remembered.
Forever Missed."
Allen Monroe Jr's spirit will forever ride the waves of time, echoing in the hearts of those who loved him and in the dreams of those he inspired.
