Allen L. “Bonnie” Roach

Allen L. “Bonnie” Roach, of Tallmansville, West Virginia, passed away on July 12, 2026, in Jane Lew, after a brief battle with cancer. He was born in Gauley Mills on December 13, 1940, to the late Harold and Bessie Hopkins Roach. After graduating from Cowen High School, Bonnie embarked on a journey of service with the United States Air Force. For six years, he dedicated himself to his country, beginning with his basic training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. His service then led him to Aviano Air Base in Italy. Bonnie was an avid fisherman and hunter. He also enjoyed collecting coins, hunting for arrowheads, and spending time with his beloved dogs. Bonnie was a Christian by faith. He was predeceased by his wife, Peggie Roach, as well as his parents, Harold and Bessie, twin brothers Harold and Gerald, and sister Rita Bolton. Bonnie is survived by his brothers, Stephen Roach of Gauley Mills and Paul Roach of Cottle; sisters, Nancy Blake of Summersville and Phyllis Donelson of Craigsville; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family. In accordance with his wishes, cremation and a private funeral ceremony will be held to honor Bonnie’s life and service.
