It is with heavy hearts and deep respect that we announce the passing of Allen Dissette, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Allen departed this world on April 26, 2026, at the age of 64, in the comforting embrace of his home in Mohall, ND. Born on June 29, 1961, in Rugby, ND, Allen led a life marked by love, dedication, and a remarkable spirit.
The son of Eugene and Maxine Dissette, Allen was raised with strong values and a love for life that he carried throughout his years. He was predeceased by his parents, whom he cherished deeply. Surviving him are his beloved daughters, Bobbie, Samantha (Gordon), and Rebecca; his adored grandchildren, Tristan, Keyandra, Darik, Kylan, Zyon, Breanna, and Ericka; and his precious great-granddaughter, Ka'Lani. Allen also leaves behind his cherished siblings: Brent (LeAnn), Brenda (Paul), Bonnie (Denny), Barry, and David, who will forever hold his memory close.
In February 1983, Allen married the love of his life, Darcy Voeller. Together, they built a life filled with laughter, adventure, and enduring love. A graduate of Wolford High School, Allen furthered his education in carpentry at Lake Region State College. His career path led him to construction, where he honed his skills, but it was his role as a mechanic at Farmer's Union in Mohall, ND, where he truly made his mark. Known for his work ethic and expertise, Allen was a cornerstone of his community.
Allen’s life was rich with passions. An avid sportsman, he was dedicated to softball, where he bravely took many a softball to the shins as a pitcher. He was instrumental in organizing open gyms at Mohall High School, and his competitive spirit shone brightly in local dart leagues. However, gardening was his true joy. With an abundance of potatoes each year, he gathered friends and family to partake in the harvest, turning it into a cherished tradition. His social spirit was unmatched, as he enjoyed spending time with friends at the local bar, where he humorously claimed the title of the number one beer drinker.
Allen possessed a dry sense of humor that could lighten any room. His playful nature often manifested in friendly teasing of his grandchildren and children, creating memories that will be cherished forever. Known for his orneriness, Allen famously resisted the advances of technology, never yielding to the pressure to own a cell phone or use the internet.
A service to celebrate Allen's life will be held on June 27, 2026. In this time of remembrance, the family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the Mohall community for their unwavering support and kindness.
Allen Dissette will be remembered for his warmth, humor, and the love he shared with all who knew him. His legacy will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, and his spirit will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him.
