Allen D. Pehle, a cherished husband, father, brother, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on May 8, 2026, at the age of 69. Born on September 9, 1956, in Franklyn, Missouri, Allen spent his formative years in Bonneterre, Missouri, where he was raised by his loving mother, Barbara A., and stepfather, Earl Miner. He was the beloved son of Barbara and the late Earl Miner, and he carried with him the values they instilled in him throughout his life. Allen was a man of many talents and interests, known for his kindness, respect, and hardworking nature. His journey in life was one marked by dedication to his family, his work, and his country. He proudly served in the Army and was honorably discharged, a testament to his enduring sense of duty and responsibility. His professional life was as varied as it was fulfilling. Allen began his career as a bartender for Lloyd and James Dahl, where his friendly demeanor and steady work ethic made him a beloved figure. His ventures took him to Unalakleet, where he worked with Dave Cunningham, before moving to Nome to work at the mine. He eventually returned to Unalakleet to work with Jim & Ferno Tweto, and later, he returned to the West Coast to work with Dave until last year. In every role, Allen's dedication and reliability shone through, earning him the respect and admiration of colleagues and friends alike. Allen's personal life was enriched by his love for the great outdoors, a passion nurtured by his father-in-law, Frederick Katchatag. Together, they shared many memorable adventures, from bird hunting and moose hunting to herring fishing. Allen cherished these experiences, always eager to share stories of their outings, each one filled with laughter and camaraderie. His deep appreciation for nature and the simple joys of life were lessons he passed down to his children and grandchildren. He was predeceased by his grandparents, James and Beulah Jones, his brother, Gary Pehle, his son, Charlie Ray Pehle, his stepfather, Earl Miner, his in-laws, Frederick and Ebba Katchatag, and his brother-in-law, Ray "Booba" Katchatag. Allen's memory will forever be cherished by his surviving family: his beloved mother, Barbara Miner; his devoted wife, Anna Pehle; his children, Timothy Pehle, Eric Murphy Katchatag, Jason Driskill, Suzanne Terry, and Rochelle (Roz) Ferry; his granddaughters, Kaylyn and Danielle Mazeika; his brothers, Ronald and Donald Pehle, and James and Stanley Miner; and numerous nieces and nephews who held a special place in his heart. Allen's life was a testament to the power of love, family, and friendship. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, respect, and unwavering dedication to those he held dear. While he will be deeply missed, his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him, and his stories, laughter, and warmth will be remembered for generations to come.
