Allan Patrick Solomon, born March 15, 1957, in Trinidad and Tobago, to Joycelyn and Sidney
Solomon, was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, friend, and a blessing to so many.
Forty years ago, he migrated to the United States, bringing with him his values, traditions,
humor, and generous spirit.
Allan was hardworking, dependable, and always willing to help. A true jack of all trades, he
was a skilled contractor, painter, plasterer, designer, gardener, and handyman. If something was
broken, Allan could fix it. If you called him for help, he would somehow find a way—even if he
had to take something apart first and figure out how to put it back together later!
And then there was Allan in the kitchen. His pepper sauce, bake, pone, sweet bread, and stew
chicken were unforgettable. His cooking was so good that you didnt need to ask what was for
dinner—you just followed the smell!
Allan loved music, painting, gardening, cooking, and helping others. He also had a wonderful
sense of humor. He wasn't always the loudest person in the room, but somehow, he could say
something so funny that everyone would be laughing before they even realized Allan was the
one who started it.
And that smile—that big smile with the famous gap between his teeth—was unmistakably
Allan. You could probably recognize him from that smile alone. We may forget some of the
things he said, but we will never forget that smile—or the gap!
Allan believed in treating others with kindness, dignity, and generosity. He was a true provider,
giving not only materially, but also comfort, laughter, friendship, wisdom, and love.
Allan leaves behind his beloved wife of more than 43 years, Angela Solomon; his
daughter, Paula Walton; his grandson, Keith Davis; his siblings, Rawlins, Joan, Cutris,
Debra, Rosalie, Wendy, and Marceline; his four beloved fur babies; and countless relatives and
friends who loved him dearly.
We will miss his humor, generosity, cooking, determination, and his willingness to help anyone
who needed him.
Most of all, we will miss the way Allan made people feel—cared for, supported, welcomed, and
never alone.
Allan spent his life making sure everyone else was okay. So now, Allan, rest. Rest knowing that
you were loved that you made a difference, and that your memory will live on in all of us.
And Allan, don't worry—we'll keep the garden looking good, we'll remember your recipes, and
we'll try our best to keep the pepper sauce going. Although, lets be honest, nobody will make it
quite like you did!
Your hands may no longer be here to fix what is broken, but the love you gave us remains—and
that love will never be broken.
Until we meet again, keep smiling that big smile. We promise we'll never forget the gap.
Rest peacefully, Allan Patrick Solomon.
You were one of a kind, deeply loved, and forever missed. May your memory always be a
blessing—and may heaven have plenty of pepper sauce waiting for you.

To everything there is a season,
and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
A time to be born, and a time to die;
a time to plant, and a time to pluck up
that which is planted;
a time to kill, and a time to heal;
a time to break down, and a time to build up;
A time to weep, and a time to laugh;
a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
a time to cast away stones,
and a time to gather stones together;
A time to embrace,
and a time to refrain from embracing;
a time to get, and a time to lose;
a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
A time to rend, and a time to sew;
a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
a time to love, and a time to hate;
a time of war, and a time of peace.
