Aliyah graced us with her presence on June 25, 2012, in the vibrant neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York, where her journey began surrounded by the love of her parents, Chre Baird and Kadeem Jones. Aliyah's life, though short, was filled with immense joy, warmth, and love. Her sweet personality, soft-spoken nature, and caring heart touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. With a brilliant mind and a passion for learning, Aliyah was known for her intelligence and dedication to her pursuits. She was a beacon of light and a source of inspiration to her family, friends, and community. A proud member of the Achievement First community, Aliyah excelled both in academics and extracurricular activities. As a member of the cheer team, Aliyah's energy and enthusiasm were infectious, lighting up every room she entered. Her leadership and eloquence shone brightly in her role as captain of the debate team, where she inspired her peers with her articulate speeches and thoughtful arguments. Beyond her accomplishments, Aliyah's heart lay with her family, especially her cherished little brothers, whom she adored and nurtured with a loving spirit. She found joy in dance and music, often expressing herself through rhythm and melody, bringing happiness to those around her. Aliyah faced her battle with lupus with remarkable bravery and grace, embodying strength beyond her years. Her resilience and optimism served as a testament to her enduring spirit, leaving an indelible mark on those who walked alongside her during her journey. She leaves behind her devoted parents, Chre and Kadeem, who supported and cherished her every step of the way. Aliyah is lovingly remembered by her family, friends, and all who were blessed to know her. She was predeceased by her grandmothers, Bernadine Jack and Bernadette Jack, who undoubtedly welcomed her with open arms into the embrace of eternity. In honoring Aliyah's wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to celebrate her life, allowing those closest to her to come together in remembrance and love. Though she is no longer with us in this world, Aliyah's spirit will forever remain in our hearts, a guiding light and a reminder of the profound impact she made during her time with us. As we bid farewell to our precious Aliyah, we hold onto the cherished memories and the legacy of love and kindness she leaves behind.
